Chaves to stand in for Aleshin at SPM in Phoenix test

IndyCar's 2015 Rookie of the Year Gabby Chaves will substitute for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver Mikhail Aleshin in the upcoming pre-season test at Phoenix International Raceway. Chaves, who was left without a seat for 2016 after his previous team Bryan Herta Autosport merged with Andretti Autosport to field Alexander Rossi, will pilot SPM's #7 entry in the February 26-27 test. The team said work visa issues were to blame for Aleshin's absence from the test.
