Ex-Manor F1 driver Rossi lands IndyCar debut

Former Manor F1 driver Alexander Rossi is set to make his IndyCar debut after confirming a race seat with Andretti Autosport for 2016. The American driver lost out in the race for a drive with Manor in F1 to 2015 DTM champion Pascal Wehrlein and former GP2 rival Rio Haryanto. As a result, for the new season Rossi will head back to his native country for a maiden IndyCar campaign having signed for Andretti Autosport. Rossi, who competed in five F1 Grand Prixs for Manor last year, will drive the number 98 Honda and will take part in a rookie test next week.
