INDYCAR: 'It was like a knife went through my back' - Pagenaud

It was hard to tell by the new track record he set in qualifying on Saturday at Mid-Ohio, but Team Penske's Simon Pagenaud is dealing with a significant amount of lower back pain. The championship-leading Frenchman encountered the problem in the final practice a few hours before qualifying, and says he isn't sure exactly why it happened or what's been injured. "It's crazy. I was in Turn 1 and all of a sudden it was like a knife went through my back," Pagenaud told RACER. "This morning after Practice 3, I wasn't sure I could do it."
