INDYCAR: Texas postponed to Sunday

The Verizon IndyCar Series race at Texas Motor Speedway has been postponed until Sunday at 2:15 p.m. ET/1:15 p.m. CT after several hours of track drying couldn't soak up water from hours of rainfall. Heavy showers during the afternoon produced weepers that could not be contained, and with the threat of additional rain expected in the early morning hours on Sunday, Saturday night's Firestone 600 IndyCar race never turned a wheel. Texas Motor Speedway officials announced at 10:30 p.m. the race had been reset and will be televised by NBCSN.
