Pippa Mann crashes on Carb Day

Dale Coyne Racing driver Pippa Mann crashed at Turn 4 45 minutes into the final practice session before the 100th Running of the Indy 500. Mann, who suffered an accident last Saturday when a rear wing element failed, appeared to lose the rear end in the middle of Turn 4, went fully broadside with tires smoking and smacked the outside wall. The #63 DCR-Honda broke both rear pods and appeared to damage both rear suspension arms. However, the damage appears repairable. Mann was checked, released and cleared to drive again by medical.
