Max Chilton joins IndyCar field with Ganassi

Former Formula 1 racer Max Chilton has joined the Verizon IndyCar Series field for 2016 and will race in the fourth Chip Ganassi Racing entry. The twenty-four-year-old Briton, who raced for the Marussia F1 Team in both 2013 and 2014 before competing a partial season in Indy Lights in 2015 with Carlin, where he won once around the short oval at Iowa, joins Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan and Charlie Kimball in the team this season, and will run in the #8 that was shared between Sage Karam and Sebastian Saavedra last year. “I couldn’t be happier to join Chip Ganassi Racing’s Verizon IndyCar Series program,” revealed Chilton. “This organization is built on winning and their 11 INDYCAR...
