Chilton joins Chip Ganassi in full-time IndyCar move

Max Chilton has made the full-time switch to IndyCar with defending drivers' champions Chip Ganassi Racing, stepping up from his rookie campaign in Indy Lights with Carlin. The former Marussia F1 driver will jump in the #8 Chevrolet for the full 2016 campaign after splitting his time between Indy Lights and Nissan's attempted return to the FIA World Endurance Championship last year. After the Japanese manufacturer scrapped its WEC comeback altogether late last year after struggling to master car, Chilton has opted to stay in the US on a full-time basis in IndyCar.
