Texas race rained off, postponed to August

Heavy rain has forced IndyCar Series organisers to postpone the Texas Motor Speedway round to August after the race was red flagged with less than a third distance completed. Poor weather in the wider area had already forced the Saturday race to be run on Sunday, while the start was pushed back to allow for more drying time from the overnight rains. The race did eventually get underway, but with a lengthy caution period called on lap 43 to clear wreckage from a crash involving Josef Newgarden and Conor Daly, the drivers managed just another 28 laps of the planned 248 laps before rain returned As such, with only a result able to be called if the race had covered half-distance, organisers...
