Tony Kanaan leads the way in final Indy 500 practice

Chip Ganassi driver Tony Kanaan set the pace in final practice for this Sunday’s milestone 100th Indianapolis 500. The Brazilian racer, who will start from 18th on the grid, had a best lap of 226.280mph at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on ‘Carb Day’, ahead of Carlos Munoz. Kanaan’s team-mate Scott Dixon was third fastest with a 224.606mph lap in the No.9 Chip Ganassi Chevrolet, with early pacesetter Will Power next up. Ryan Hunter-Reay and Alexander Rossi were fifth and sixth, the lead Honda contenders, with J.R Hildebrand, Oriol Servia, Townsend Bell and Helio Castroneves completing the top 10.
