Newgarden gets maiden win at thrilling Alabama GP

– Josef Newgarden has won the first race of his Verizon IndyCar Series in thrilling fashion at Barber Motorsports Park.  Leading a powerfully charging Graham Rahal, the young American also made it three winners in four winners in four races.Scott Dixon continued his streak of podium finishes at Barber, losing second on the final lap after saving fuel, unable to fend off Rahal's fresher red tyres.  He had hoped to make a charge up to Newgarden, but a four-second gap never came down after the final round of pit stops.In a 90-lap affair that was filled with countless strategies and incredibly close racing, Newgarden rarely put a foot wrong from the drop of the green flag when he...
