Mick Schumacher wins third-ever car race in German F4

Mick Schumacher, the 16-year-old son of seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael, won his third-ever car race today. Starting second in the reversed-grid race three in the German ADAC F4 series at Oschersleben, Schumacher Jr won by half a second in his Van Amersfoort Racing entry following a late safety car period. Schumacher beat Joseph Mawson, who closed right in on his lead in the closing stages, and Thomas Preining to the checkered flag, after the safety car peeled into the pits on the last lap. In the earlier races, former karting star Schumacher had finished ninth and 12th. He is now fifth in the championship with 27 points, with design genius Adrian Newey’s son Harrison in 12th.
