INDYCAR: Crashes mar opening Pocono practice

The opening practice period for the Sunday's ABC Supply 500 was an expensive one for three teams as Ryan Hunter-Reay, Charlie Kimball and Juan Montoya all crashed at Pocono Raceway. Hunter-Reay, the winner here a year ago, lost control of his DHL Honda going into Turn 1 early in the session. "The rear snapped and it was big," said RHR, whose tub was badly damaged and had to be replaced as his crew scrambled to get ready for qualifying at 1 p.m. "We had a great test here, so this is really unfortunate but we'll just have to reset and get ready for the race.
