Hunter-Reay suffers 210mph shunt at Pocono

IndyCar’s defending Pocono winner Ryan Hunter-Reay spun into the Turn 1 wall seconds after setting fourth fastest time in opening practice. The Andretti Autosport-Honda racer was on a qualifying simulation run when he lost the rear end of the #28, scrubbed off speed and parts scraping along the outside wall, before looping down to the inside wall. The 2012 IndyCar champion stepped out of the car unassisted and was checked and released by IndyCar Medical.
