INDYCAR: Newgarden cleared after Toronto crash

Josef Newgarden has been cleared to resume racing activities after making hard contact with the wall on the streets of Toronto. The 25-year-old, who broke his clavicle and right wrist in a massive crash with Conor Daly at Texas on June 16, could be seen wincing after flying over a crumbling Turn 5 curb and hitting the wall. The steering wheel ripped from his hands and broke the right-front suspension on the exit wall.
