INDYCAR: Kanaan fastest in Texas practice

The Target Chip Ganassi Chevys of Tony Kanaan, Scott Dixon and Charlie Kimball paced Friday morning's practice at Texas Motor Speedway, but not far behind them in the top 10 were all four of the Andretti Autosport Hondas. With track temperatures nearing 120 degrees, Kanaan set a fastest lap of 24.16666s (216.745mph), followed by Dixon just .0148 seconds behind. Josef Newgarden was third fastest, setting a 24.2229s (216.242mph) pace on his fifth lap. Kimball was fourth at 24.2555s (215.955mph).
