IMSA: Karam to join Pruett in new Lexus

Sage Karam has signed on to race alongside Scott Pruett in the new F Performance Lexus in the GTD class of this year's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The 20-year-old ran the bulk of the 2015 IndyCar season in the fourth Ganassi entry, picking up a podium at Iowa along the way, but parted with the team at the end of the year. He has since secured a seat for the Indy 500 with Dreyer & Reinbold/Kingdom Racing. The news of his sportscar switch comes on the back of the confirmation of Lexus's plans to re-enter North American sportscar racing after a seven-year absence.
