Karam returns to DRR for 2016 Indy 500 bid

Sage Karam will make a third start in the Indianapolis 500 this year after penning a deal to return to the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing set up he made his debut with two years ago. The young American made his Indy 500 debut with the DRR team in 2014 aged just 19, where he starred with a charging drive from 31st on the grid to ninth at the chequered flag. Leading to a full-time IndyCar Series drive in 2015 with the Chip Ganassi team, Karam picked up a maiden podium in Iowa, but his season ended at Pocono in tragic circumstances when debris from his car following a crash fatally struck the following Justin Wilson.
