Power steals pole, Sonoma lap record

– A consistently fast Will Power stole P1 away from Josef Newgarden after time expired in the final IndyCar qualifying of the year, bringing the Australian one step closer to defending his championship. In order to do it, though, he will have to beat Juan Pablo Montoya, the man who has held the top spot since the first race of the year.Power was one of countless drivers who reset Sonoma's lap record this weekend with a 1:16.2597.
