IndyCar to introduce new rain tyre

– IndyCar has announced that a modified rain tyre will be introduced for this weekend's round at Mid-Ohio following development work from series supplier Firestone.Tread pattern and depth, as well as the anticipated wear rate, will remain the same, with the company having conducted extensive testing on the modified tyres."There are a lot of things we're doing behind the scenes to make sure we're putting the best possible product on the racetrack," said Dale Harrigle, Chief Engineer for Bridgestone America Motorsport."We optimised the tyre to better fit wet conditions.
