IndyCar: LED panels Set for Mid-Ohio debut

Fans attending the upcoming Verizon IndyCar Series race at Mid-Ohio will finally get to see the new LED position marker panels pressed into service. The panels, which are mounted on both sides of the Dallara DW12 roll hoop faring (LEFT, IndyCar photo), will display the field's running order and change to reflect position changes as they happen. The system was initially tested in March at IndyCar Spring Training in Alabama, again during the Grand Prix of Indy in May, and were targeted for introduction at the Indy 500, but those plans were abandoned.
