Indy 500: Sage Karam heads last practice before Carb Day

Chip Ganassi Racing set the pace Monday as Sage Karam turned the fastest lap of 227.831 mph in his Dallara/Chevy, followed by teammate and pole-sitter Scott Dixon at 226.420 mph and Tony Kanaan (fifth) quickest at 225.969mph. In among the CGR machines, J.R. Hildebrand was third overall at 226.308 mph in his CFHR-Chevy, James Davison, whose car was qualified by Tristan Vautier, was back in the Dale Coyne Racing-Honda and wound up fourth at 226.109mph. Simon Pagenaud led Team Penske with a lap of 225.794 mph in his Chevrolet with teammate Will Power seventh best at 225.498. Marco Andretti was second quickest Honda (eighth overall) at 225.488 mph.
