Sage Karam leads rain-marred Indy 500 practice at 225.802mph

Once the army of jet driers finished the tedious task of making the surface of IMS ready for race cars, most took the opportunity to test their new aero kits. INDIANAPOLIS - 30 cars took to the famed Indianapolis circuit today for practice and just the second opportunity to test out these superspeedway aero kits. The four hour session was delayed by rain three times throughout the day, but eventually, we got to see cars on track. At the end of the day, Chip Ganassi led the way with Sage Karam, Scott Dixon, and Tony Kanaan on top. Karam went quickest with a fastest lap of 225,802mph.
