Newgarden leads Penske 1-2-3 in Sonoma practice
Team Penske started this weekend's Verizon IndyCar Series season finale at Sonoma as it hopes to go on, with Josef Newgarden spearheading a 1-2-3 in Friday's opening practice session. Newgarden claimed the top spot with a fastest lap of 1m16.3950s, putting him just 0.03s and 0.07s ahead of teammates Will Power and Simon Pagenaud, respectively. "It's a good start," said Newgarden.
