Sato uninjured in Sonoma testing crash
IndyCar testing came to a halt late Thursday afternoon when Indy 500 winner Takuma Sato crashed his No. 26 Andretti Autosport Honda exiting the high-speed Carousel at Sonoma Raceway. "I'm OK," Sato told RACER as he rode back to the garage on his scooter. The heavy hit leaving Turn 6 was made with the rear of the new Dickinson Fleet Services-liveried car. Damage at the front of the car was marginal, by comparison, and with the impact taking place with approximately one hour left in the day, the Andretti team is not expected to get the Japanese back out prior to Friday morning's opening practice session.
