McLaren confirms Alonso Indy 500 deal
McLaren has confirmed that two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso will skip this year's Monaco Grand Prix to compete in the Indianapolis 500. Alonso will drive a car entered by McLaren and run by Andretti Autosport; a deal that represents McLaren's return to the Brickyard for the first time in 38 years. "I'm immensely excited that I'll be racing in this year's Indy 500, with McLaren, Honda and Andretti Autosport," said Alonso.
