Storms delay Firestone 600 to Sunday

– Persistent rain showers throughout the day on Saturday hampered track drying efforts in the evening, forcing IndyCar officials to postpone the Firestone 600 to Sunday afternoon.Thunderstorms moved through the Dallas-Fort Worth area Saturday morning and continued off and on throughout the afternoon, but despite dry weather leading up to the race, weepers on the track surface caused IndyCar to delay the start, initially by an hour.
