Pippa Mann crashes during her first qualifying attempt

Pippa Mann has spun during her first qualifying attempt at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Dale Coyne Racing driver was running through Turn 2 on her first flying lap and appeared to get a bit too low on the track. The car got unsettled and she spun, doing a complete 360 and contacting the outside wall with the right rear. She then headed towards the inside wall, impacting it as well. The 32-year-old has since been checked, cleared and released from the infield medical center. She was the 27th driver to go out on track and is the second incident of the day. Earlier, Max Chilton wrecked in the same corner during pre-qualifying practice. After a ten-minute red flag, the track was re-opened...
