All-women IndyCar team to debut in Indy 500 next year

The team will contest the 2016 Indianapolis 500, the 100th running of the famous race. INDIANAPOLIS - Some big news out of IMS today as Beth Peretta has announced a new endeavor. She will head a Verizon IndyCar program in 2016 that will take part in the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. Driving duties will be assigned to Katherine Legge, a veteran open-wheel racer with 40 starts in IndyCar/CART.
