Castroneves walks away from huge Indy500 practice crash

Helio Castroneves walked away from a scary-looking crash during practice on Wednesday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Brazilian, racing for Team Penske and gunning for a fourth Indy 500 victory of his career, lost control on just his second lap of the day as he negotiated turn one, hitting the wall and then getting airborne before coming to rest on track at the entry to turn two. The safety crew were quick to arrive at Castroneves' car, but the Brazilian was able to walk away from the incident, and after a quick visit to the medical centre was back in the Penske pit box, although his day on track may be over.
