Marciello crashes Sauber on second day of testing

Sauber's testing programme started badly on the second day of Formula 1 testing at Barcelona after Raffaele Marciello crashed less than an hour into the session. The Italian, switching to the Swiss squad after driving for Ferrari on Tuesday, went off at Turn 3, crashing against the barriers on the outside of the corner just 26 minutes into the session. The Sauber appeared to suffer damage to the front wing and the left side, but Marciello was fine, having managed just four laps before the crash. The session was red-flagged while the car was recovered.
