Rahal closing in on second IndyCar entry for 2018

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has been working on a plan for the last two months to add a second full-time entry under its tent starting in 2018, and according to co-owner Bobby Rahal, the signs are encouraging. "We're getting close to a fully-funded second car for next year," the 1986 Indy 500 winner told RACER. "Given some of the increased support our team has recently had like with 5/3rd Bank, which is a three-year deal, there's a lot of momentum to put a second car together on a full-time basis."
