IndyCar: Honda gets points boost after test
Honda has extended its IndyCar manufacturers' points lead over Chevrolet following a points adjustment after Sunday's test at Indianapolis. The Japanese manufacturer earned 30 points during the test for achieving the 2500 mileage threshold on three of its engines – those of Graham Rahal (Rahal Letterman Lanigan), Carlos Munoz (Andretti) and Gabby Chaves (Bryan Herta Autosport). Rule 10.6.4.2 of the IndyCar rulebook awards 10 bonus manufacturer points for every engine that reaches its lifecycle minimum. Chevrolet, meanwhile, received another 20-point deduction for changing the engine in Charlie Kimball's car. The Ganassi driver's engine was the only one in the Chevrolet lineup left...
