IndyCar unveils concept designs for 2018 aerokits

The IndyCar series has unveiled a series of initial concept designs for how the aerokits may look for the 2018 season. IndyCar’s president of competition and operations, Jay Frye, revealed the drawings at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It hints at the basic direction of next year’s aerokits, following the news of a contract extension for chassis manufacturer Dallara. IndyCar says further updates will be released at the 2017 pre-season test in Pheonix from the 10-11 February.
