Daly: I’d be a great fit with Foyt
Conor Daly says he’s pushing for a seat with AJ Foyt Racing, but also believes the chance to race to retain his seat at Dale Coyne Racing remains a possibility and a “great opportunity.” Daly completed his first full season in the Verizon IndyCar Series this year, driving for Dale Coyne Racing-Honda, but has yet to nail down a ride for 2017. The Indiana native, who scored one runner-up finish, a fourth and two sixths this year, told Motorsport.com that his hopes now center on AJ Foyt Racing or a return to Coyne. “Foyt is the team I’m pushing hardest for,” he said, “because I have a great relationship with AJ – we speak almost every week – and with Larry too.
