INDYCAR: 'I have shown the merit to become a paid driver' - Munoz

Carlos Munoz appears to be closing in on a new opportunity in the Verizon IndyCar Series, but says the door remains open to stay with Andretti Autosport for his fourth season. The young Colombian ace, who has been tipped to lead the AJ Foyt Racing program in 2017, is coming off his best season to date. Finishing 10th in the championship during a down year for Honda-powered teams, the 24-year-old led the Andretti squad in the standings and earned another second-place finish at the Indy 500.
