Newgarden: First test with Penske was “a blast”
Josef Newgarden says he loved his first IndyCar test with Team Penske-Chevrolet at Road America today, but says the team’s setups are notably different from what he’s been accustomed to. Newgarden, who finished fourth in the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series, tested at Elkhart Lake’s four-mile road course alongside team incumbents Simon Pagenaud, Will Power and Helio Castroneves – the only three drivers who finished ahead of him in the points table this year.
