INDYCAR: Eight drivers set for Gateway tire test
The Verizon IndyCar Series will hold a Firestone tire test on Thursday, October 13 at Gateway Motorsports Park. The test will help Firestone select the proper tire compounds for the June 17, 2017 race at the 1.25-mile oval. Among the eight drivers scheduled to test are Marco Andretti, Graham Rahal, Ed Carpenter, James Hinchcliffe and Mikhail Aleshin. Friday, October 14 will be the makeup date in case of rain. The test is not open to the public.
