Daly to replace injured Moran Jr.

– American Conor Daly will fill in for Rocky Moran Jr. this weekend at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Moran Jr., 34, would have returned to open wheel competition for the first time since 2005, but after a crash in practice yesterday, Moran suffered a broken thumb.Dale Coyne Racing has now called upon Daly, who will make his return to IndyCar for the first time this season.The son of former Formula 1 driver Derek Daly, Conor has spent time in IndyCar, GP3 and GP2 as well as several sports car outings over the last few seasons.
