IndyCar unveils 17-race calendar for 2017

A largely unchanged calendar has been announced for next year's Verizon IndyCar Series, featuring the return of Gateway Motorsports Park alongside previously established events. The season will again span from early March to early September, kicking off with the St. Petersburg round on March 12 and concluding at Sonoma Raceway on September 18. The order of the events has remained largely unaltered from 2016, although the Phoenix race - which had been second in the 2016 schedule - has now been moved to after Long Beach and Barber.
