– Heavy rains in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, forced the ABC Supply 500 to be delayed until Monday, IndyCar officials announced today.Despite driver introductions going forward as planned, an announcement was made just after 15:00 local time (GMT-4) that the start would be pushed back to 12:09 on Monday.The Verizon IndyCar Series is emerging from its summer break and returning to the 2.5-mile triangle for the first time since losing Justin Wilson in an accident here last year.In a qualifying session that saw five teams represented in the top five, Russian Mikhail Aleshin will start on pole for the first time in his IndyCar career, leading Josef Newgarden and Takuma Sato.
