Dixon steals Toronto pole from Castroneves

– Scott Dixon crossed the line with seconds to spare at the end of Q3 in Toronto as car after car ahead of him pulled into the pits. Hélio Castroneves, who at the time held provisional P1, was already out of his car and standing by the Penske pit wall, helplessly watching as Dixon's final lap earned the Kiwi pole position by 0.0352 seconds.The pole is the 24th of Dixon's career and is his first since Mid-Ohio last year.The Firestone Fast Six had proven to be a tricky affair for several drivers, forcing some to pit before the final session expired, thus conceding their chances for pole.
