IndyCar confirms revised Texas plan

– IndyCar officials have confirmed plans for resuming the Firestone 600, which will take place at the Texas Motor Speedway at the end of August.The start was postponed for 24 hours due to wet weather and 71 laps were completed on June 12th before further adverse conditions prompted the event to be rescheduled to August 27th.During those 71 laps Josef Newgarden and Conor Daly collided, with both cars eliminated from contention.IndyCar officials have confirmed that neither driver will be permitted to participate in the continuation of the race due to extensive engine and chassis damage.Pre-race aero setups from June must be used unless a change in weather conditions affects the area,...
