Hunter-Reay: “I was getting every last bit out of the car”
2012 IndyCar champion Ryan Hunter-Reay says he never gave up trying to beat the Penskes in the second Detroit race, but in the end he was satisfied to not have misfortune fall his way. The Andretti Autosport ace, who was taken out of victory contention at Indy 500 last week by a pitlane collision with Townsend Bell, said after the Detroit race: “It’s great to have the #28 Honda up front after such a heartbreaking end to our Indy 500. We had such a good car there. “It was nice to have a day where nothing really wrong happens. That's all I've been looking for lately - just let's just have a day where I don't need luck.
