Power Victorious in Race 2 at Belle Isle

In a race defined by strategy, Will Power's team played it correctly to put the Australian in position to win in the final 20 laps. An outside pass on teammate Simon Pagenaud entering turn 3 on a lap 53 restart put Power at the front of drivers on his strategy, and he assumed the lead on lap 61 when those ahead of him pitted for splashes of fuel. Power then held off Pagenaud and Ryan Hunter-Reay to take his first of 2016, and his first since the 2015 Angie's List Grand Prix of Indianapolis. Josef Newgarden enjoyed a strong run to fourth after starting 17th, while Scott Dixon overcame contact with Juan Montoya and a flat tire to finish fifth.
