Fast 9 given final opportunity to practice before qualifying

The Fast 9 drivers had the race track to themselves for 30 minutes ahead of the pole-deciding qualifying session this afternoon. Earlier, the drivers outside the Fast 9 were also given an opportunity to practice and Alexander Rossi led the way at 230.064mph. During this session, none of them matched Rossi's time with Ed Carpenter Racing's Josef Newgarden being the quickest of the bunch (229.906mph). That was an unassisted lap, putting him at the top of the no-tow times among the Fast 9 drivers.
