INDY 500: Teams switch to qualifying aero

IndyCar teams weren't allowed to use qualifying boost on Thursday, but that didn't stop some of their entries from running qualifying aerodynamics in anticipation of the extra 40-50 horsepower they'll receive on Friday. Team Penske's drivers were the first seen in Chevy's low-drag aero configuration with the long sidepod ramps installed and the rear wheel pod winglets removed. Will Power and Juan Montoya appeared to spend the most time in that setup, while Simon Pagenaud (below) and Helio Castroneves used the majority of the practice session working on race setups.
