INDYCAR: Schmidt still unsure about third Indy 500 entry

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports co-owner Sam Schmidt has entertained almost every driver with a budget and desire to race in May's 100th Indianapolis 500. After months of fruitless discussions, he says a deal for someone to compete in SPM's third car for the Indy 500 has yet to be completed. "I've just given up putting a date on finishing it," Schmidt told RACER at Long Beach. "I thought it was going to be done 90 days ago. Things just keep moving and parts keep moving. We've been rubbing on the car since October, and it's ready to go."
