INDYCAR: Montoya steers clear to St. Pete repeat
Juan Pablo Montoya gave a driving demonstration the last half of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, easily winning the Verizon IndyCar season opener for team owner Roger Penske and engine supplier Chevrolet. Second was teammate Simon Pagenaud, who finished 2.3306 seconds behind Montoya. With three laps to go, Hunter-Reay forced his way past Helio Castroneves for third, to give team owner Andretti Autosport and Honda a place on the podium with the two Penske Chevrolets. Fourth was Castroneves, and fifth was Mikhail Aleshin in his Schmidt Peterson Honda in his return after a year.
