Will Power honoured with Toowoomba Sprintcar race

Toowoomba Speedway has announced an event honouring local Verizon IndyCar Series hero, Will Power to be held on November 21 and to be known as the ‘Will Power 500'. The 2014 IndyCar Champion visited his former school, Downlands College, for the announcement in his home town with the Mayor of Toowoomba, Cr. Paul Antonio. “My dad Bob used to race at the track before I was born when it was called Charlton Raceway, so there’s lots of history here for our family and now we’re about to make some more,' said Power – who is back in Australia for a brief visit after the dramatic conclusion to the 2015 IndyCar Series.
