INDYCAR: Newgarden to stay at CFH for 2016
As speculated and detailed last week here, RACER.com can now report that Josef Newgarden is definitely returning to CFH Racing for 2016.The 24-year-old native of Hendersonville, Tennessee is expected to be confirmed this week for a one-year deal to again drive the No. 67 Dallara/Chevrolet for Ed Carpenter, Sarah Fisher and Wink Hartman. Newgarden, who turned the fifth-fastest lap in Tuesday's test at Elkhart Lake, topped the Verizon IndyCar series in laps led during 2015 with 345, and scored the first two victories of his career. It's known that the 2011 Indy Lights champion desired a one-year contract in hopes that something may open up with Ganassi, Penske or Andretti in 2017.
